Wow! Time has flown!

I can't believe how long it has been since my last post! Forgive me, this year has been a whirlwind, so I'll try to keep it short.

VAF was amazing! I had so much fun and met some wonderful girls. I was blessed to make top ten in the pageant. Thanks so much to the ACF board, Esther, Laverne, and Kelly for all of your support! And thanks to those who made the trek out to Williamsburg to cheer me on!

In February, I had a lot of fun attending the Miss Albemarle pageant. My sister competed for her first time in the Jr. Miss division and got First Runner-Up! Congrats to Hannah on being crowned Miss Albemarle 2008.

In March, I developed new ideas for my platform, "Get Involved!". I planned an Activities Fair for rising freshmen at my school during their orientation. I also had the opportunity to speak to them about the importance of extracurricular involvement. Overall, the event was a huge success! Thanks so much to Dr. Haas, Ms. Snyder, Ms. O'Connor, Mr. Foutz, and the Leadership classes for all of your help and support. I could not have pulled it off without you!

In April, I had a blast riding in the Dogwood Parade! It was great to see my pageant sisters again. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it to the Queen's Ball, but congratulations to Miss Madison on becoming Dogwood Queen!

I am eagerly awaiting the 2008 pageant in June! I can't wait to meet the lovely contestants and have the honor of crowning Miss Albemarle County Fair 2008!
